Anachronism Press Case Study
Random Wood Type Prints
This print uses a split fountain, which is achieved by putting a color on one side of the inking drum and a second color on the other side of the drum. As the drum spins and inks the rollers, the colors merge together to create a gradient effect.
Project challenge
Make posters and coasters by randomly placing wood type of various styles and sizes on a press and locking it tight.
Our solution
Here are the coasters. We made these by cutting the posters down into squares and rounding the corners in a corner-rounding machine.
